Baywatch

What a ripper idea! The Ripper Group and the University of Technology, Sydney has designed some drones with AI marine recognition. Claiming an accuracy of 93% over 15 different types of marine creatures including sharks, their deployment could help save lives on the beaches and creeks in Australia.

Apparently the drones can give audible warning to swimmers and surfers if they spot Jaws in the vicinity.

Alternatively equipped drones can drop buoyancy aids to swimmers in distress.

Perhaps not as glamorous as the Baywatch crew but perhaps more efficient?

The Ripper Group also offers land based solutions in the agri-tech industry to assist farmers using fleets of AI linked drones armed with sensors for weed and pest control, plus stock counting.
