Mustafa joins Google

The co-founder of British AI firm DeepMind, Mr Mustafa Suleyman is to join Google.

His work at DeepMind saw him collaborating with Google over reducing energy consumption at their Data Centres, also he improved the battery performance in Android devices.

His name was associated with Streams, a contentious health app which harvested data from millions of NHS patients without their specific consent.

There is a degree of mystery over what Mustafa’s role will be in Google but it’s understood he will be working on the potential opportunities and impacts of applied AI technologies.
